This progressive song was inspired by our initiation to The Way (aka The Camino). Our journey from North America to Europe, across rails, to the south of France where we began on the ancient Druidic path by traversing the Pyrenees mountains into northern Spain. The meditative daily journey of waking to walk, bookmarked by feeding time. The transcendental rebirth beyond pain and suffering as the body breaks down. The fire of the sun over our heads. The inevitable reintegration into Nature thanks to the majestic beauty of the Spanish countryside.
Creating this piece was a journey unto itself which we will tell in a later entry. As this song is almost the length of the first 3 songs combined on The Wolf EP, it clocks in at just under 9 minutes. So we invite you to sit back, relax, and enjoy your journey!
The Pace is the final song from our new EP, The Wolf, released today! The Wolf is the first in a trilogy of extended plays from a larger body of work inspired by our time under the Milky Way on the Camino Santiago de Compostela that we are calling, Ultreya!
