18 MARCH 2026 (TORONTO, ON) – “The Labyrinth (Live),” the new single from 5th PROJEKT’s first live off-the-floor EP, “Live In London” arrives today in advance of the album’s release on May 13th, 2026 via their own independent label, Organik Rekords.
After opening the ceremony with ‘Oblivion,’ and stepping into ritual with ‘Incantation,’ the Toronto psychedelic art-rock band descends into the spiral of shadow work with ‘The Labyrinth (Live).’ Sovereignty, dispelling illusion, discerning the truth and trusting intuition are explored in this chaotic psychedelic rock adventure.
Appearing on the eponymous 2022 EP, ‘The Labyrinth (Live)’ soars deeper into urgency with the frenzied energy of David Pake’s wild drum & bass style and Peter Broadley’s frantic fuzz bass. Juxtaposed by Sködt McNalty’s ambient drone guitar and Tara Rice’s ethereal vocals that weave their way through the pandemonium, ‘The Labyrinth (Live)’ presents the challenge to hold focused intent amidst the daily din.
‘The Labyrinth (Live)’ is the third of five songs recorded live off-the-floor at The Sugar Shack in London for the Incorrect Thoughts live band series.
ABOUT 5TH PROJEKT
5th PROJEKT’s previous releases, The Wolf (2023) and The Labyrinth (2022), both received strong Canadian college radio support, with The Wolf debuting on the !earshot National Top 50 and climbing into the Top 25. The Wolf was featured in Obscure Sound, Spill Magazine, V13, Canadian Beats, From the Straight, and other local and international publications. Their music has received award nominations from The Ontario IMAs, The Toronto IMAs and The Orange County Music Awards in California. The band’s captivating live performance has led them to showcase at music festivals like NXNE, Canadian Music Week, Indie Week, Kaleidoscope and Spirits of the Earth Festival along with two tours of Eastern Canada.
